Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. MD to Text is designed so that Markdown conversion happens in your browser, which means the text you paste for conversion is not intentionally sent to our servers for processing.
How conversion works
In normal use, your Markdown is processed locally in the browser. We do not need to receive the content you paste in order to perform the conversion, and the output is generated on the device you are using.
This approach is intended to reduce exposure of your content and make the service faster for routine use. It also means the conversion experience is less dependent on network conditions or server-side queues.
Information we may collect
We may use analytics, measurement, or advertising services that collect standard technical data such as page views, browser type, device information, referrer data, and basic performance metrics. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.
Some tools on this site may also save your work locally in your browser so you can resume later. That saved content stays on your device unless you clear your browser storage.
Third-party services
If analytics or advertising scripts are enabled, those providers may receive limited technical information when the page loads. We do not control how those providers process data, so their own privacy policies also apply.
Advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to measure ad delivery, limit repeated ads, detect invalid traffic, and show relevant advertising. These partners should not need the Markdown text you paste into the converter, because conversion is handled locally in the browser.
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you choose to send. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry or to handle the issue you reported.
Local browser storage
Some pages may use browser storage for convenience, such as remembering draft input, editor state, theme preference, or recent settings. This data is stored on your device. You can remove it by clearing your browser storage for this site.
What not to paste
Even though the converter is designed for local processing, you should avoid pasting passwords, private keys, confidential legal documents, medical records, financial records, or other highly sensitive material into any online tool unless you have independently verified that the full page and every active third-party script meet your security requirements.
Retention and changes
Because the conversion itself is local, we generally do not retain your pasted Markdown as a server-side record. We may update this policy over time to reflect new features, third-party integrations, or legal requirements.
